Clocked Out

Hey Y'all!

Just wanted to let everyone know that RANCHO COCOA is going to be off on vacation until next week...so be sure to check back with us then. Happy Father's Day

Today is Father's Day! Happy Father's Day to all the Dads out there, and especially to my Dad! I love my dad cos he knows how to fix things and is a super handy man. He knows how to do everything - fixing cars, installing ceiling fans, cooking, and much more. I love you Dad!

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to my mom! She is the best. Here we are at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens sharing a good book with some frog friends.



Raoul here - just wanted to give a shout out to the two mothers in my family: my Mom and my sister, Belinda. HAPPY MOTHERS DAY! Here's my Mom hanging posing with my nephew Evan, and my nieces Lillian and Julia. Below is Evan holding up a photo of his mom - my sister - sporting the standard issue bowl cut that my dad liked to give to us when we were very young. As you can see, the apple don't fall far from the tree!

Bunny Cakes

We here at the Ranch love carrot cake. We also love bunnies. So we made a bunny-shaped carrot cake! You can see the way we made the cake here, and my mom and I made the one with coconut when I was a kid. We just made the Grit carrot cake and cream cheese frosting recipe.


Raoul said he wanted this cake to look like Jumbles, so we added the candy eyes and nose.


With the extra batter we made cupcakes, too. We put our little bunnies as decorations on the top. The little carrots are baby carrots and a little bit of dill for the carrot tops. These cupcakes looked so cute.

Easter Eggs

My family is visiting for Easter, so we colored some eggs! It was pretty fun to dye eggs, and I have not dyed eggs in forever, too. We used the "magic crayon" to draw on our eggs first, but I will admit that our eggs are not the prettiest ever.






The dye just did not stick to the eggs so much. Later we found out when my dad went to eat an egg that I did not boil them for long enough, so we could not really eat any of them. It was too soft, but luckily we did not boil too many eggs!

Happy Easter

Happy Easter from everyone here at the Ranch! We are getting ready to color some eggs and bake some carrot cake over here, so watch out. We already had chocolate eggs and marshmallow peeps for brekkie, too. So far it is a great Easter. I hope everybody is having a very good day.
